TAWC is affiliated with the National Education Association through the California Teachers Association    

  The National Education Association, NEA,  has more than 2.4 million members across the nation.  It is the largest union or professional association in the United States.  The California Teachers Association CTA is affiliated with NEA.  The Teachers Association of West Covina is affiliated with NEA through CTA.

    The president of NEA is Reg Weaver.  His vice-president is Dennis Van Roekel and the Secretary-Treasurer is Lily Eskelsen. The Executive Committee has 9 members including the above three executive officers. 

    The NEA Board of Directors has 179 voting and non-voting members.  There is Review Board of 9 members and a Representative Assembly of 10,000 delegates.  The Executive Director of NEA is John Wilson.
