2010 TAWC Election Timeline

For Election of:      President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary of TAWC for the term of

                           July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2012

March 15, 2010      Announcement of vacancies and upcoming election by Representative Council

                           Meeting, flyer, and web site

April 6, 2010          Declaration of Candidacy and Campaign Statement must be received in the TAWC

                          Office or handed to the TAWC president, Dwight Ek (Hollencrest Middle School)

                          no late 4:00 pm (Postmark date not accepted)

April 12, 2010        Acknowledgement of declarations of candidacy and campaign statements

April 12-14, 2010   Preparation of campaign statements, ballots, voter registration roster/sign-in

                          sheets and envelopes

April 19-21, 2010   Distribution of voting materials to school sites

April 22-26, 2010   Voting of members at school sites

April 29, 2010        Ballots are due to Susan Hunter, election chair at Wescove by 3:15 PM

April 29, 2010        Ballots will be counted by members of the Elections Committee, at Wescove

                          School starting at 3:30 pm.  any candidate or selected observer must be in

                          attendance by 3:15 pm and cannot leave until the counting is completed.  No cell

                          phones will be allowed.

May 3, 2010         Announcement of results to leadership, candidates and members

                          Preparation and distribution of run-off ballots, if necessary

May 6, 2010         A challenge to the election must be written to president, Dwight Ek and received no

                         later than 4:00 pm.  (Postmark date not accepted)  It may be hand delivered to

                         Mr. Ek (Hollencrest Middle School) or the TAWC Office.

May 11-13, 2010  Run-off voting at school sites - if necessary

May 14, 2010       Run-off ballots are due to Susan Hunter at Wescove School by 3:15 pm.

May 14, 2010       Run-off ballots will be counted by members of the Elections committee at Wescove

                         School at 3:30 pm.  Any run-off candidate or observer must be in attendance by

                         3:15 pm and cannot leave until the counting is completed.  No cell phone will be

                         allowed.

May 17, 2010       Announcement of run-off results to leadership, candidates and members

May 19, 2010       A challenge to the run-off election must be written to president, Mr. Ek no later
